Dr. Stephen L. Malone, MD

Dr. Malone is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in spinal surgery. Originally from Delaware, he graduated from Jefferson Medical College in 1995. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Cincinnati, including nine months of pediatric orthopaedics. He then completed his spine surgery fellowship at the University of Southern California which emphasized treatment of professional athletes.

Dr. Malone’s treatment goal is a rapid restoration of your pre-injury level of activity through the use of conservative modalities or surgery, if required. He employs minimally invasive techniques as well as complex anterior and posterior procedures in the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine for trauma, deformity and degenerative conditions.

He is a fellow of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He has served as President of The Delaware Society of Orthopaedic Surgeons from 2016-2018. He currently serves as President of The Orthopaedic Spine Center.
